They say all good things come to an end.

On November 26th, the Hamilton Huskies, coached by Steve
Belles, tasted defeat for the first time in a long time
when they lost to the Desert Vista Thunder 45-19 in the
Division I State Championship Game at University of
Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

The loss by Hamilton ended a remarkable 53-game winning
streak that started all the back on September 19, 2008
with a 37-point win over Dobson. It also snapped a streak
of three state championships claimed by Hamilton. Desert
Vista hoisted the trophy for the first time since 1998.

Also remarkable–Hamilton had defeated
Desert Vista 35-10
in a regular season matchup in October.
