Forbes ranks Phoenix as second-most miserable sports city in America

In its annual poll, Forbes.com has ranked Phoenix as the second-most miserable sports city in the United States.

The rankings are based on cities with at least 75 cumulative MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL seasons and postseason records, fewest championships per season and current championship drought are taken into account.

Phoenix, with a 1-3 championship round record, a 4-9 semifinal round record, just one championship in 104 cumulative seasons and a 13-year trophy drought, comes in second on the misery list.

Only Atlanta, who has just one championship in 162 cumulative seasons and a 19-year championship drought, tops the Valley of the Sun on the list.

Rounding out the top ten are Cleveland, San Diego, Buffalo, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Philadelphia.
