Old Fashioned Mascot War: Sparky vs. Puddles

Oct 3, 2012, 7:44 PM | Updated: 8:50 pm

It all started about a month ago, when Puddles, the Oregon Ducks mascot, announced his candidacy for the office of President of the United States of America.

With the Ducks coming to Tempe in a little over two weeks time, the fine folks over at Arizona State took it upon themselves to get into the spirit of negative campaigning election season and post a video response.

Which of course prompted this response from the candidate’s office — which to us, looks more like a quickly-assembled, poorly-acted excuse to have some good-looking Oregon co-eds on camera.

Your turn, Tempe…

We don’t know where this war of ads will go next, but we’re captivated.
