The Miami Hurricanes aren’t exactly known for their basketball prowess, but they did pull a huge upset over top-ranked Duke Wednesday night.
The ‘Canes dismantled the Blue Devils 90-63, marking the third-worst defeat ever for a number one team and Duke’s worst loss since 1984. Ouch.
Not only did “the U” embarrass the Dukies on ESPN, they mocked their patented “slap the floor” defensive stance in the late stages of the game as well.
It turns out that the Miami floor slap was “ordered” by former Hurricanes football star Warren Sapp, who called out to one of the Miami players from the stands.
In case you’re wondering, Miami visits Cameron Indoor Stadium on March 2. That might be fun to watch.
