Hours after Alabama claimed its second National Championship in as many years, Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett wasted little time putting the social media moves on Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron's girlfriend, Katherine Webb.

Of course, McCarron stepped in eventually, squashing any one-on-one time Dockett had hoped for with Webb.

That seemingly put an end to the Twitter love triangle, so we thought.

Unfortunately, we forgot Dockett has quite a gift for gab on the Internet and wasn't quite done "wooing" Webb.

McCarron didn't take the jab too kindly and fired the following back at Dockett.

From the looks of it, Dockett's last-ditch effort to win over McCarron's girlfriend seems to have failed.

However, there's no word yet on whether he has accepted the offer to fly to Mobile.
