Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is used to cleaning up the glass, but even this one he couldn't save from hitting the ground.

Despite a second-half shootout between Team (Chris) Webber's Tim Hardaway Jr. and Team (Grant) Hill's Dion Waiters, the second-year Pistons big man was the star of the 2014 BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge, posting video game-like numbers of 30 points and 25 rebounds -- the latter being a record for the contest.

The 20-year-old center was elected the MVP of Friday's game -- which Drummond and Team Hill won 142-136 -- and BBVA Compass President and COO Ángel Cano presented him with the award.

But things didn't go so smoothly in the exchange. The BBVA executive looked visibly nervous while giving a short congratulations speech to the Pistons star; you'd be forgiven if you thought he might forget Drummond's name or stumble over some part of his speech, but Cano made it through that part OK.

As Cano went to hand the trophy to Drummond, the glass portion of the award fell off its base and hit the ground. Cano scrambled to pick it up and handed both parts to Drummond, who held the pieces together as he raised the award in celebration.

It looks like the glass star fell off the base to no fault of Cano, but it was a funny/embarrassing moment nonetheless. At least it didn't shatter. Drummond nearly earns himself a "character counts" award for being a good sport about his two-part award, as he appeared more amused than upset.

Hardaway Jr. grabbed the mic from TNT's Craig Sager after the award fumble and said, "ESPN Not Top 10." That it was, that it was.
