For most fans, attending a sporting event requires a little bit of financial planning.

Between tickets, food, drinks and souvenirs, there are plenty of ways for fans to spend their money. But one fan turned attending Friday's Phoenix Suns game into quite the profitable endeavor.

Suns fan Tim Boven, a 28-year-old from Peoria, Ariz., drilled a halfcourt shot to win $77,777 before getting swarmed by the entire Suns bench -- which decided the shot was a little more exciting than their timeout huddle.

Boven, who was randomly selected for the shot, had the choice of shooting a free throw for $777, a 3-pointer for $7,777 or the halfcourt shot for $77,777.

Even the Suns' Gorilla got in on the celebration. Watch the shot below:
