The Phoenix Suns are coming off a tough loss Friday night in San Antonio, in which they built a 21-point first quarter lead, but fell behind in the third period and lost to the Spurs 112-104.

No time to rest for the Suns as they travel upstate in Texas to face the Dallas Mavericks Saturday night. Dallas is just a half-game ahead of Phoenix entering the contest, and to say the game is critical for both teams would be an understatement.

Early Saturday, the two teams engaged in some mild pregame trash talk on their Twitter accounts. It wasn't as heated as the Suns-Trail Blazers social media banter earlier in the season, but both Phoenix and Dallas came off sounding pretty confident entering the must-win game.

The Mavericks kicked it off with the following tweet.

And the Suns initially had a friendly reply.

But the Mavericks didn't stop there.

And that's when the Suns got a little cocky, and the conversation was kicked up a notch from then on.
