The Arizona Diamondbacks had themselves a record-breaking night against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, and U.S. Sen. John McCain was in attendance to see history being made at Chase Field.

The D-backs slugged five home runs -- including two by first baseman Paul Goldschmidt -- off Clayton Kershaw and other Dodgers pitchers.

After Goldschmidt's seventh-inning blast, McCain was seen on TV next to his wife, looking overjoyed at the D-backs slugger's three-run shot.

Meghan McCain tweeted the following GIF of her father's celebration.

If that doesn't put a smile on your face, especially in the context of the Diamondbacks' historic night, who knows what will.

The Diamondbacks scored a franchise-high number of runs in their 18-7 rout of Los Angeles. They also broke an 0-8 home slide against the Dodgers with the blowout win.
