Fiesta Bowl preview: Arizona Wildcats look to defy the numbers one more time

Compare the No. 10 Arizona Wildcats’ season statistics with other Pac-12 teams. Take a look at their last couple recruiting classes.

The numbers say this year’s UA team should have won six or seven games — maybe eight with some good fortune — under third-year head coach Rich Rodriguez.

Numbers don’t lie, but they don’t always tell the whole story.

“I knew Arizona had been on the brink of greatness for a while,” said UA senior safety and Canyon del Oro High School product Jared Tevis.

“Growing up in Tucson, I saw teams have a lot of potential. It’s incredible to be a part of this team and to see everything we’ve accomplished.”
