Three Arizona State Sun Devils have landed on the preseason watch lists for the Rotary Lombardi and Butkus Awards.

Senior defensive tackle Will Sutton is on the preliminary watch list for the Rotary Lombardi Award, which is presented to the nation’s most outstanding down lineman.

Sutton was the 2012 Pat Tillman Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and a Consensus All-American after leading the Sun Devils’ defense with 13 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss.

Fellow defensive players Carl Bradford and Chris Young have been included on the preseason watch list for the Butkus Award, presented annually to college football’s most outstanding linebacker.

Bradford, a redshirt junior, racked up 11.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss in 2012, while Young, a senior, had two sacks and 14 tackles for loss.

Both awards will be presented in December.
