Sep 22, 2013, 4:51 AM | Updated: 4:51 am

The Arizona State Sun Devils dropped their Pac-12 opener 42-28 at Stanford Saturday afternoon.

After the 14-point loss, Todd Graham stepped in front the media and essentially placed the blame on himself.

“I apologized to them for how we got our team ready to play,” Graham said. “We were obviously not ready to play today. I give Stanford all the credit in the world. Obviously, you can tell they are a championship-level team. We weren’t ready.”
