Northern Arizona loses big to Montana State

Montana State threw for just 87 yards, but beat Northern Arizona, 36-7, Saturday in Bozeman, Mont.
The Lumberjacks (3-2, 1-1 Big Sky) fell in an early 29-point hole as the Bobcats amassed 276 rushing yards. NAU was held to just 232 total yards, just 64 of which came on the ground.
Montana State (4-2, 2-0) running back Cody Kirk rushed for 156 yards and a score on 27 carries, and Shawn Johnson added 92 yards and a score on 13 carries. Quarterbacks DeNarius McGhee and Jake Bleskin combined to complete just 9 of 21 passes for 87 yards and an interception.
NAU continues its season on Oct. 12 at Sacramento State.
