Arizona Diamondbacks to wear throwback uniforms in August

The Arizona Diamondbacks will have an old look to them when they take the field Aug. 30 against the Colorado Rockies.
The team announced it will wear its 1999 home uniform with the white and purple hat that game. It’s all part of the team’s third annual Alumni Night, which will also feature a Bob Brenly bobblehead giveaway.
This will be the fifth time the D-backs have worn a throwback jersey. Previously they have worn the 2001 home alternate, the 1998-2002 home purple alternate, the 1999-2000 black alternate jersey and the 1914 Kansas City Packers jersey.
