Last month, Chase Anderson was a Double-A Mobile BayBear. Now an undefeated major league pitcher with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Wichita Falls, Tex. native joined a unique group on Tuesday, when he bested the Colorado Rockies in a game his team won 4-2.

Anderson went 6.0 innings, allowing four hits, two walks and a run, en route to his fourth win in as many career starts.

He became just the fifth pitcher in the last 16 years to accomplish such a feat in the process.

Since 1998, only the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim’s Jered Weaver, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Gerrit Cole, and former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Kazuhisa Ishii and former Cleveland Indians pitcher Scott Lewis have won each of their first four starts.

Anderson won his debut against the Chicago White Sox and hasn’t turned back, beating three straight National League West opponents in the Dodgers, San Diego Padres and Rockies.

At 4-0, his earned run average is a cool 3.32 on the season.
