The Pulse: Suns should bring Channing Frye back only if it’s at the right price

Every day, ArizonaSports.com asks readers a question. It’s the Sanderson Ford Poll Question of the Day, and it can be found midway down the right side of our home page.

On Tuesday, we asked you if the Phoenix Suns should bring back forward Channing Frye, who opted out of his contract on Monday.

More than 500 votes were submitted, and the results show that fans want Frye back — but only at the right price point.

Exactly half of the 509 voters selected the option “sure, but for the right price,” while 27 percent voted for “only if he comes back at a bargain.” A mere 4 percent said Frye is too valuable for the Suns to lose, while 20 percent said it’s time to move on altogether.

Frye scored 11.1 points per game to go along with 5.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists during last season, his first since missing an entire season with heart issues. Frye has played four seasons with the Suns — half of his eight-year career.
