PHOENIX -- Authorities say a teenager has been arrested in Canada for allegedly threatening Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his family for the second time.

Sheriff's officials say the 16-year-old boy was taken into custody Tuesday night by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Alberta.

The teen's name wasn't immediately released.

Canadian investigators questioned the teen in July after he allegedly threatened to bomb Arpaio's house and ``murder you and your whole family.''

Sheriff's officials say another threat was received Sunday in which the juvenile claimed to be in Phoenix and allegedly planning to burn down Arpaio's home.

The 81-year-old Arpaio is serving his sixth consecutive term as sheriff of Arizona's most populous county.

America's self-proclaimed toughest sheriff is known for jailing inmates in tents and making prisoners wear pink underwear.
