Robin Thicke's mother: 'I don't understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do'

Momma Thicke is not happy with her son's raunchy performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Cyrus was performing her single, "We Can't Stop," when Robin Thicke joined the 20-year-old singer on stage. Thicke's mother, Gloria Loring, could barely watch as Cyrus began to provocatively dance with her son.

"It's not that I saw it once, it's that I can never unsee it," Loring told omg! Insider. "I think she's misbegotten in this attempt of hers."

According to ET Music, Loring previously defended the criticism following her son's risque music video for "Blurred Lines" but believes his showing at the VMAs was over the top.

"I didn't get what her point was," she added. "It was so over the top as to almost be a parody of itself."

There was one thing Loring did enjoy about her son's performance -- his suit. While some sources said the singer's outfit channeled his inner Beetlejuice, his mommy "loved it."
