Kanye West's 2004 album "The College Dropout" may have jump started his rise to fame, but that doesn't mean he can't get a warm welcome on an Ivy League campus.

The "Yeezus" rapper made a surprise appearance at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design on Sunday.

According to Spin, West helped launch the college's "DONDA design lecture series."

To get the students' attention (as if he needed to), West gave them all tickets to his concert that evening. He went on to speak about his appreciation for architecture and design.

"I really do believe that the world can be saved through design, and everything needs to actually be 'architected,'" he said.

It wasn't just the students who were happy to see West speaking at Harvard. Kim Kardashian gushed about her fiance on an Instagram photo.
