Rattlers’ Davila named AFL Week 2 MVP

After completing 21-of-30 passes for 285 yards and seven touchdowns in a convincing 77-49 win over the Utah Blaze last Saturday, Arizona Rattlers quarterback Nick Davila was named the Arena Football Week 2 MVP.

Davila’s strong performance came on the heels of another seven-touchdown game in the Rattlers’ season-opening win over the Philadelphia Soul March 22 at US Airways Center.

The fourth-year pro’s 14 touchdowns this season are tied for the second-most in the league. Only Spokane’s Erik Meyer (15) has thrown more through two games.

Davila and the defending AFL champion Rattlers look to extend their winning streak to three games Saturday night when they host the San Jose Sabercats (2-0).
