The Arizona Rattlers rank second in the Arena Football League Coaches’ Poll for the second week in a row, following an 83-40 rout of the San Antonio Talons Saturday.

Arizona (4-1) sits between two undefeated teams in the poll. The 5-0 Spokane Shock — the only team to defeat the Rattlers’ this season — top the standings and the Jacksonville Sharks (5-0) rank third.

Quarterback Nick Davila led the Rattlers in their latest victory over San Antonio. The slinger recorded 278 passing yards and nine touchdowns while completing 85% of his throws at US Airways Center.

With 1,444 yards, 34 TDs and just three interceptions on the season, Davila ranks second in the AFL’s passing category.

But it hasn’t just been Davila lighting up the show this year.

Defensive back Virgil Gray has also given the Rattlers a boost, leading the league with 35.5 tackles and his team with three picks.

Next up, the defending AFL champions host the Orlando Predators who are still looking for their first win of the season.
