San Jose Sharks make young man’s dream come true

Mar 19, 2014, 4:46 PM | Updated: 4:54 pm

Sam Tageson is 18 and loves the San Jose Sharks.

Tageson also suffers from hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which is a rare condition in which the left ventricle of the heart is severely underdeveloped. At some point, Tageson will need a heart transplant.

Due to the life-threatening nature of Tageson’s condition, he got involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which allows children to fulfill their dreams.

Sam always wanted to be a member of the Sharks, and the organization made that happen Tuesday when they hosted the Florida Panthers. Tageson signed a contract with the team, participated in their morning skate, came out through the Shark’s head onto the ice and even stood with the team during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner.

As you can see by watching the video below, Tageson was moved to tears. So were we.
