PHOENIX — Senior Killian Larson tied his career-high of 31 points and added 12 rebounds as Grand Canyon beat Chicago State 84-74 in the Antelopes final regular season home game on Saturday night.

Larson shot 12 of 16 from the floor, and Daniel Alexander came off the bench to add 19 points for the Antelopes (14-13, 9-5 Western Athletic).

The first half saw 14 lead changes but Grand Canyon shut down the back-and-forth battle in the second, holding the Cougars (12-17, 7-7) to just 10 points in the first 12 minutes after the break, and leading by as many as 20.

Quinton Pippen scored 14 points in the first half, and then went 13 minutes without a basket in the second before scoring 11 points in a row for the Cougars to pull back within eight with 3:47 left on the clock.

Pippen finished with 27 points and Matt Ross added 17.
