The Arizona Cardinals have parted ways with Levi Brown.

A left tackle, Brown played in all 16 games last season, and while he had his fare share of struggles with the team, he did play well over the second half of the season.

Brown's release does not mean his time with the Cardinals has officially come to an end, as the team has maintained interest in bringing their former first round pick back.

However, Brown's cap hit was sitting at a hefty $17 million going into this season, a salary the team could not justify paying the career underachiever.

Brown was taken number five overall in the 2007 draft over players like Minnesota Viking running back Adrian Peterson and San Francisco 49er linebacker Patrick Willis. He has started 75 out of a possible 80 games in his NFL career.

If he wont restructure his contract-good riddance
We gave him the money when we drafted him and the opportunity to succeed with a starting position and a HOF coach that he had access to to pick his brain. He squandered it all up until the last 10 games of the last year of his contract. If that is how he wants it we are better off without him, simple as that.

    Good bye
Funny how he only stepped his game up when it was contract time. I've got the feeling whomever signs him will have a couple good games then it'll be back to the same old Levi.

    $17 Mil Better Spent
$17 million for a lineman. Ridiculous. Now let's get some really motivated guys who hunger to just have a job and the line issues will be solved.

    If they add
A player like Jared Gaither from San deigo and Demetrius Bell from Buffalo then they copuld cut bridges too who was just as bad on the other side. Then draft Matt kalil out of USC for the future. right there yuor just inmproved your o-line and with the extra week to get things straight it could be a wonderful year. Even if we have Kolb or Skelton in the back field.

If this was Madden 13 we would be golden! Lets go sign the top two tackles in free agency, then we can package up joey porter with our #13 pick, to draft kalil, a projected top 5 pick. Hell maybe we can get Mario Williams to come along for the ride.
