It looks like Levi Brown isn't going anywhere, after all.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cardinals and offensive tackle Levi Brown agreed to terms on a five-year contract, bringing the inconsistent and somewhat controversial former first round pick back into the fold.

Schefter confirmed earlier reports suggesting the Cardinals and Brown were nearing a deal.

Somers reported the announcement will likely come Friday.

Selected with the fifth pick in the 2007 NFL Draft out of Penn State, Brown has spent time at both tackle spots, with the last few seasons spent on the left side. He's had his share of struggles, but seemed to turn it on over the second half of the 2011 season.

So, even though the Cardinals released Brown on March 13 as a way to save cap room, they always maintained a desire to bring him back.

Where he will play along the line remains to be seen, as the team may decide to move him back to the right side or, perhaps, just leave him at left tackle.

Forget about PM coming to AZ
If they bring him back at LT you might as well for get about PM coming to AZ. PM career would end in preseason. Every starter on the Cardinals O-line would be backups on any other team in the NFL. And you wonder why the go through QB's like eating popcorn, "one crunch at a time"

If you think a good LT
is a condition for Manning, then they're not getting him. They don't have the $ to get anyone much better than Levi in any case. And you're wrong about "every starter" - remember that Colledge was a starter on GB and Sendlein is a pretty solid C.

He will be on the right
Barring injuries, The rt side looks solid. Cards have four of five starting OL spots filled, just one to go. Cards dont need a Long or Thomas to work in the scheme (though it would be nice!), they need a solid LT. The draft offers 3-4 players in the top 20 that can fill that need. Also, there are a couple FA players that could fit; likely requiring the release of Bradley due to $. Well, Peyton, the Cards are ready! Lets just stop the games, get your butt over here and play some football.

    Sign Winston!
Whether or not Manning comes, we need to get a strong LT. Winston, who the Texans released would be awesome. With him at LT, you could use Levi for depth at RT or LG and our line just went from one of the worst to very solid. Kolb would look like a totally different player with an extra second to throw every passing down.

    All the line men should
Have a sack clause in their contracts. Everytime the QB gets sacked they all lose 10 large. Then we could add 15 for looking like a turnstile, and 100G's if they release their man to the inside were the pocket is suppose to be. For some it wuold be a weight watchers plan because they would no have enough money to buy food, hell some may need to owe the Head office if they play like they have in the past.

    Horrible...
This is by far the worst thing we could have done this off-season. Levi is lazy, and just plain old sucks. No wonder PM isn't coming here.

    Same old Cardinals?
Hell yes! Put all ur eggs in an unrealistic basket and miss out on the only decent OT on the market, Winston. Did they even know he was available and did they care? I should have thrown the towel in when they reupped with Grimm. What a bunch of losers!
