The 2012 NFL schedule has been released, and that means we know exactly what the Arizona Cardinals docket of games looks like.

The Cardinals will open their campaign Sunday, September 9 against the Seattle Seahawks. This game marks only the fifth time since the team relocated to the Valley in 1988 that they've opened their schedule at home.

Arizona will also have two prime time games. The first, is in Week 4 when the Cardinals visit the Rams on Thursday night. The second falls in Week 8 when the Cardinals host the 49ers at University of Phoenix Stadium on Monday Night Football October 29. The Cards did not appear on national television at all in 2011.

"I'm excited that we've got a Monday Night game," head coach Ken Whisenhunt said Tuesday. "It's always a little bit difficult as far as the short week afterwards and preparing for it, but you like to play on the national stage like that."

Three of the first four games are at home, and the Cardinals don't play more than two games in a row on the road.

    I like it
Bye week in the middle, and the only cold east coast game I see is week 13. I see 9-7 maybe even 10-6

    Interesting
Like the position of the bye week and that we actually get to start with some home games. Strength of schedule... actually seems a little high, but I suppose that's only fair after we've had the easiest schedule in foot ball (or top 5) for last couple years in a row. Still plenty of winnable foot ball games, but I feel like we're going to have to really earn our way into the playoffs this year if we make it. Based on this schedule I'm feeling an 8-8 season, give or take 2 games, with hope that its give (10-6) and not take (6-10).

    Not Good
Pretty tough for the Cards. I really don't see any better than 8-8 unless Kolb all of a sudden becomes superman.

    QB Play is the key
Kolb or Skelton will likely have to engineer some 4th Quarter Winning Drives this season if they expect to contend for a playoff spot. They can't count on Patrick Peterson being the deciding factor in a handful of games like he was last season.
