The following story is related to Doug & Wolf's Mock
Draft, presented by Bud Light. The draft took place
Wednesday at Talking Stick Resort as a precursor to
Thursday's actual 2012 NFL Draft.
In Doug & Wolf's Mock Draft, the Arizona Cardinals, represented by GM Mike Sandler, selected outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw out of Alabama.
The linebacker is expected to be one of the best off the edge rushers in the draft. Upshaw led the fierce Crimson Tide defense with 9.5 sacks and 18 tackles for loss.
Many had the Cardinals taking an offensive lineman. The D&W 2012 Mock Draft had USC tackle Matt Kalil (8th to Minnesota) and Iowa tackle Riley Reiff (10th to Buffalo) off the board before the Cardinals were up.
