The Arizona Cardinals selected offensive tackle Bobby Massie from Mississippi with the 112th pick overall Saturday.

The three-year starter at Mississippi uses his strength and size to overwhelm defensive linemen. Massie was particularly effective in the run game in college, combining speed and quickness against defenders. He is also a proficient pass blocker, with long arms and strong athleticism.

Massie appeared in 37 games at Ole Miss, starting his final 29 contests at right offensive tackle.

He was named All-Southeastern Conference first-team, recording 102 knockdowns, the most by any offensive tackle in the league. This comes despite competing with a unit that compiled a 2-10 record, ranking 114th in the nation in total offense (281.25 ypg) and 83rd in rushing (129.58 ypg).

Ole Miss's rushing unit struggled in 2011, scoring just twelve times, but every one of those touchdown runs were to Massie's side of the field.

Massie decided to enter the draft after his recruiting coach (Head Coach Houston Nutt) at Mississippi was dismissed during the 2011 season.

He is listed at 6'6, weighing in at 316 pounds.

Its a great pick, thought we should of got him in the 2nd/3rd but we were very lucky he was still around in the 4th. He's gonna wrk great for us and will definately keep our QB's upright and hardly touched...

    Very happy with this pick
For a team that didn't have a second round pick in a draft that didn't present any OTs worth taking at their first round pick, to get a guy of this level of talent and Fleming is pretty impressive. Will he be an elite OT in this league, I wouldn't bet on it, but I do think he will be serviceable and has about as much potential as any of the OTs we could have taken with our first or third round picks so I think they did a tremendous job of showing patience and not reaching for a OT too soon.
