The day started with a morning walk-through highlighted by the return of Beanie Wells. Not only did the Cardinals running back turn 24 years old today, but he turned some heads with some sharp cuts and good bursts out of the backfield.

He admitted that he has a lot of work to do and that it will be a process for him to get fully up to speed. Both Wells and coach Ken Whisenhunt are taking a wait-and-see approach as to how much -- if any -- playing time he will get during the next couple of preseason games.

The same cannot be said for Kevin Kolb, who was back on the field just a couple days after being helped off of it in Canton with a chest bruise. He is expected to play Friday against the Chiefs, but John Skelton will get the starting nod as planned before Kolb's injury.

    Kolb friday
I'm willing to bet that Kolb takes another so called "hard tackle" gets a so called "concussion" and calls it quits for good. The guy got paid, he has his money and he knows he can't be a QB in this league!

    Limit the RBs
I wouldnt play Beanie until the fourth preseason game. Same with Williams. Let the other backs get some reps. Alphonso Smith looked ok on Sunday. I'd even keep LSH limited.
