Arizona Cardinals QBs Skelton, Kolb struggle in second preseason game

As John Skelton and Kevin Kolb continue to battle for the Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback job, every game carries a little more weight.
Unfortunately, both signal callers struggled in the Cardinals' 27-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs Friday.
Skelton started the game for Arizona, but couldn't generate much offense in his three possessions.
The 24-year-old was 3-of-6 passing for 35 yards with no touchdowns, one interception and a sack.
Kolb replaced Skelton early in the second quarter and got to play with most of the Cardinals' first-team offense, with the exception of franchise star wideout Larry Fitzgerald.
The 27-year-old was 1-of-5 passing for 21 yards with no touchdowns and one sack against the Chiefs. Kolb saw four of his five pass attempts fall incomplete before he exited the game late in the first half.
With neither Kolb nor Skelton performing at a high level in Friday's defeat, the Cardinals' quarterback competition appears as wide open as ever.
