There will be plenty of disappointed people if Kevin Kolb does not win the Arizona Cardinals starting QB job.

From the team that traded for him, the players who supported the move and the fans who believed in him, all will feel a sense of being letdown should John Skelton emerge as the team's starting quarterback.

You can add former ESPN analyst/friend of Larry Fitzgerald's Cris Carter to the list.

"We shouldn't be going through this debate a year later," Carter said on ESPN's SportsCenter Tuesday. "But if John Skelton has outperformed him, he should play in the football game.

"I believe that whoever plays quarterback for Arizona -- because of Larry Fitzgerald -- he makes that quarterback look awful good. But I'm very disappointed in Kevin Kolb."

It's one thing to disappoint coaches, fans and teammates, but this will likely be the thing that really gets to Kolb.

In truth, Carter is saying what many are thinking. That Kolb, who was expected to be the team's long-term answer at QB could be such a bust so soon is something no one wanted to contemplate, but if ESPN's Adam Schefter is correct, it's a reality we'll have to deal with.

    I told everyone but nooooo
And I dont mean to hail, in addition to the rain, on this parade, but, Im going to anyways. I could tell in Kolbs facial expressions and body languange last year that he was going to be a bust. I am glad that there were more Kolb supporters than me (the only naysayer). But Im not going to spend all my time saying I told you so (because I did!). I will say that I am glad everyone has come to their senses. Now, we all can move one. Now, lets see if Lindley will give Skelton some competition for that QB spot. Anyone want to object? Cuz I feel its gna happen anyway.

Kolb was a move that needed to be made
Lienhart was garbage, hall the same. Skelton showed flashes but everyone knew he was a couple years out. Kolb was the coveted QB pick up 2 years ago, remember we were not the only team that went after him. Everyone is all I told you so this and that. Its BS, I applaud the Bidwell's for trying to do something when in so many years past they would have done nothing. We are not going to pay Kolb 60 mil in the end, we will cut him, we tried and failed. Move on.

..will be tired from a short turn around. If Kolb comes out flat on Friday...it may be difficult to paint it in a positive light.
