Kevin Kolb continues to mystify Arizona Cardinals fans with yet another inconsistent performance filled with the highs and lows we've come to expect from the 27-year-old quarterback.

The Cardinals' signal caller came out firing to start the game, going 3/3 for 22 yards, while showing relative poise in the pocket. To give you perspective on the embattled quarterback's struggles, Kolb's three completions on that drive were more than he's had in the previous two preseason games combined.

But unfortunately for Kolb, he wasn't able to build upon a promising start. On the next offensive possession, Kolb was flagged with an intentional grounding penalty and then sacked in the end zone for a safety.

That wasn't the end of the punishment Kolb would endure from the Raiders' defense. He was sacked twice more before his night came to a merciful end.

For the night, Kolb went 3/6 for 22 yards with 0 TD, 0 INT and three sacks.

    O-Line?
I am not advocating either Kolb or Skelton for the starting job but in watching the game last night (other than the first offensive possession), the O-line didn't really give Kolb much of a chance. And as Pasch/Wolf pointed out, the Raiders were only rushing four most downs. Conversely, when Skelton was in for his one series, the O-line did a better job (similar to Kolb's 1st series).

    Kolb
did make mistakes like turning his back to the LOS on the intentional grounding play that put them on the 1 yard line, because there was an avenue of escape had he stepped up, but Whiz's decision to start Batiste at RT was costly. He had difficulty executing the switch with Snyder on Raider stunts. Batiste missed on 3 switches, and RB James missed a key block...those 3 plays were big against Kolb. Without knowing what the downfield WR's are doing, it seems that the right side oline was mostly the culprit.

    mistakes
Kolb did make some mistakes but tell us who did not? Cannot hardly fault him for the safety as he had no room and the OL looked like they did not even try to stop anyone.

    CAN I GET AN APPLICATION
If they are willing to pay this Kolb character the money he's getting I'd like to fill out an App for that job too. I'm much older but I think I can do just as bad as Kolb does and maybe even create some positive crowd reaction too. I'll do it for like $2K per game too which will save the team MILLIONS.. Where can I get an App?
