While Arizona Cardinals coaches and fans all debate who should be the starting quarterback for the regular season, one opposing player wanted to put in his two cents.

Oakland Raiders defensive end Tommy Kelly, who sacked Kolb for a safety Friday night didn't seem to have a kind review for him after their game.

"He is skittish. He is scared back there," Kelly said. "Anytime anybody gets close to him he starts looking at the refs. As a defensive lineman you love a quarterback like that. He ain't even trying to look at the routes no more. He is paying attention to us and you ain't going to get nothing done like that."

Kolb was sacked three times Friday night in the Cardinals victory, and was 3-for-6 with 22 yards and no touchdowns.

John Skelton led the Cardinals with a 3-for-3, 23 yard touchdown drive, although they started with a short field on the drive.

It is expected of Kelly to not know about Kolb's happy feet, but when he says that after Cardinals fans have witnessed it long enough is laughable. What has been noted about Kolb is that he tends to lock in on one target, and when pressure gets a sniff of him, he wants to roll out of the pocket away from pressure. Improve the field vision and pocket presence to win a job as the starter.

    Kolb's habbits
On the 2nd series, after Jefferson made the critical mistake of returning a deep kickoff and putting the offense in extremely poor field position, Kolb made a mistake. While Wolf tried to blame the line, Kolb turned his back toward the line of scrimage instead of stepping up. There was an avenue of escape there. As for the balance of the mistakes, much of it is on RT Batiste. Whiz's decision to have him start was costly as that side of the line had trouble with Raider stunts. Kolb needs to get rid of the ball faster or the Cards needed a screen to slow the rush.

Kelly called it how he saw it
I saw it that way too. Kk didn't even read the D b4 the snap. Idk what is going through his head while he's in the pocket, but it ain't getting rid of the ball. He held on to it like it was a baby! KK had 5 drives. Skelton scored on his one and only drive w/o Brown and Williams. Sorry dudes. I told you KK was gna suck. I TRIED TO TELL U SO.

    AT THE ROOOOOOMSTORE
Kevin Kolb will be a good candidate for the Roomstore Commercials. Every other QB Wannabe went there for extra cash. Kevin will be next... Why does this organizaton keep paying this guy the big bucks? Wondering if I can put in an application for that QB position. I'm old but I think I can do just as poorly as Kolb and I'll play for $2K per game, saving the Cards MILLIONS !

can kolb accept being johns backup?
Or even a 3rd or 4th string back up? Can someone ask him? I know there's 2 more pre season games left. But we all know johns the better QB. Im so disapointed in Kolb and unsure of him that id actually let Lindley play with the 1st and 2nd team offense to see if is a better back up. Bcuz based on his play vs kk's play, he looks better. As a GM or HC, knowing what u gave and how much u spent, to get KK, just to be let down, I wouldn't be able to look him in the face, cuz I'm easy to pissd right now.
