It seems everyone has an opinion about the Arizona Cardinals quarterback situation.

Friday night, Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Tommy Kelly teed off on Kevin Kolb, both on the field and through the press. Kelly called Kolb scared after Arizona's 31-27 win over the Raiders.

Now, ESPN's John Clayton is joining the group of Kolb bashers.

"You look at him throw, it doesn't look like he's throwing with authority and he'll get that little scared look in his eyes," Clayton said on the ESPN airwaves over the weekend. "I know he's battling that verbally, and that's now the perception and that's not good, so it looks like John Skelton is going to end up with the job."

Kolb started strong during Friday's game, going 3-for-3 for 22 yards on Arizona's opening drive, which ended in a 3-yard touchdown run by Ryan Williams.

But things got difficult for the second-year Cardinal after that. Kolb went 0-for-3 and was sacked three times by an aggressive Raiders defense during the rest of his playing time.

"The Arizona (situation) is just an absolute disaster because John Skelton looks like he's going to win the job," Clayton said. "He's now going to start the third preseason game, which I think is telling, and Kevin Kolb takes another step back."

Of course, Thursday's game at Tennessee will actually be the Cardinals' fourth preseason game. Kolb has started two of the first three, while Skelton started the preseason tilt against Kansas City.

Skelton took only four snaps against the Raiders, but went 3-for-3 for 23 yards and a touchdown pass to fullback Anthony Sherman.

    Skelton should get the job, but not for long. Since the Titans have made Locker their starter, the Cards should keep an eye out for what the Titans are going to do with Matt Hasselbeck. http://hittoleftfield.com/2012/08/17/war-of-the-dunces-the-qb-battle-in-arizona/

    I doubt Hasselback(Sp?) leaves anywhere. The Cards wont waste another draft pick on a qb thats not going to be with the team past this year. Tough shame about Kolb though, I found myself rooting for him when the game started. But he showed nothing when it was all said and done.

    I love how everyone is reporting that Skelton is going to start as though it is news. It was Skelton's turn in the rotation, this has been known all season. That said, Skelton should be able to lock up the srating job this week. Skelton's not a star, but he's playing better than most media give him credit for.

    It's funny how everyone is picking our QB's apart when the rest of the league isn't doing much better. Peyton Manning has been picked off twice now in both preseason games but they seem to have an excuse to why. It's because he's in a new system according to reporters and it will take him quite sometime to adjust. Shouldn't this be the same for Kolb and Skelton? What a bunch of CRAP...........

    Manning has room 4 those mistakes. He's a HOF QB. & it is his 1st year in a new system. Remember when Kolb was sucking last yr? U were also saying "BUT ITS HIS 1ST YR IN A THIS NEW SYSTEM AND IT'LL TAKE TIME 4 HIM TO ADJUST!". Kolb has now had a year in the new system, a off season too, & he still sucks! By all means, Skelton is no savior, but he's playing better, & I agree w/ Whiz, based on his ability 2 win last year, its only right 2 give him a crack @ the starting job until Whiz finds his Franchise QB. Dont count ur eggs b4 they hatch (referencing Manning).

    I had high hopes for Kolb when he first came here. I'm starting to think that he isn't the kind of QB that can command a huddle or an offense. Skelton does seem to have a better presence in the pocket but the guy has not been accurate enough. He ranked 32nd last year as a QB. 3 rookies ranked better than Skelton. Maybe that will change this year. It's looking like neither Skelton or Kolb is going to lead this team to the playoffs. I hope I'm wrong about both of them.

    Whiz has made this a disaster for this team. the guy should not be able to make QB decisions going forward. I know, I know he is the HC, but the dude cant find it. I knew Kolb was going to be a flop. I saw it and called it and most attacked me for saying so.

    Please use proper english and spelling. As for Kolb.. I really did not want him here to begin with.. I thought the media was wrong trying to get us Manning. I am a John Skelton fan.

    I don't think that Skelton's 10/15 90 yards 1 TD 1 INT is a disaster for the preseason on limited playing time. But Kolb's 5/15 47 yards 0 TD 1 INT is.
