Well that didn't go according to plan.

Making his second start of the preseason, Cardinals QB John Skelton was sacked on his first pass attempt and picked off on his second. He finished the night completing 4-of-10 passes for 41 yards with the interception.

To be fair, Skelton did appear to settle down some after the turnover. He faced pressure on nearly every drop back, and had nice throws dropped by Todd Heap and Michael Floyd.

Skelton exited the game early in the second quarter.

Is it going to take someone killed?...
Answer: Leinart, Warner, Hall, Anderson, Skelton, and Kolb.... Question: Name all the AZ QBs that have been injured behind Russ Grimm-lead OLs. No one can succeed behind that mess (even before Levi Brown was injured)!!!!!

    Kolb
This is what I wish kolb would have looked like in the hall of fame game. Definitely looks more comfortable going no huddle and shotgun. Who would have guessed playing to his strengths would help! The line looks a ton better with massie in there too and batiste on the left. Dj ain't ready for prime time. Our depth is 100% shot tho. Another can't go down.

I agree. I think they found their LT in Batiste. Both Skelton and Kolb got eaten up when Young was in there, it was hideous. Skelton never stood a chance from the start, took some shots

    Kolb and O-line
I have been trying to give Kolb a chance this preseason... Enough is enough. Cut him from the team and try to save some money. The interception he threw with nothing but 4 Titans around was ridiculous. He was already out of the pocket he could have thrown it away. Cardinals qb's have been terrible since Warner retired. Next year please draft a QB and atleast 3 offensive linemen with the first 4 picks. Looks like jv out there. Cardinals have a lot of offensive weapons and a pretty solid defense. Hope we aren't as bad as we look in preseason this year.

Gotta agree on Kolb & " the Shotgun"
Put Kolb in the shotgun in the 2min drill or say in a 'west coast' system and he hangs and steps-up in the pocket so much better than Whiz' 3-5 step drops. Why does Whiz resist the necessary tailoring of the offense around Kolbs strengths and force Kolb to re-invent his talants in a new style. Beyond that I thought powell con't to impress and improve on previous game appearances with what might have been his best last night. PP21 needs to settle down and perform.

Having the TE blk on one side will help kolb
have more time and if you give Kolb more time Larry WILL get open. I want Kolb throwing to larry. I also want Skelton tossing it to larry when he gets his accuracy going. Put the ball in larry's hands or whoever is in the slot(robertsordoucet) Powell was the best RB on tennessee's field thursday which bodes extremely well for the Cards who have Beanie & ryan, as well. Must emphasise how well I think Powell Played as well as 'has been playing';would be nice to see if he tears it up with starters.

And I said that Id eat my words if Skelton didnt perform. Well... I just ate them. BUT! I feel like the O Line could of gave him some more help than that. I have more to say about that in "Ken Whizenhunt still undecided on QBs".
