After watching his two quarterbacks struggle against the Tennessee Titans Thursday night, Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt isn't ready to make a decision on the team's starter.

"I got to look at this game and I've got to evaluate this and we'll see," Whisenhunt said. "We still have another game, another week of practice that we can look at, but I can't answer that now until I look at it."

Both John Skelton and Kevin Kolb made critical errors, including tossing three interceptions combined. While Whisenhunt said mistakes can be expected, the Cardinals can ill afford to have their starting quarterback making questionable throws.

"You got to factor that in when you're making the evaluations of the guys because a lot of it depends on their decision-making," Whisenhunt stated.

Despite the Cardinals' sloppy performance, and another uninspired effort from their quarterbacks, Whisenhunt is taking away a positive from the loss.

"There is fight," Whisenhunt said. "This was tough [Thursday] to turn the ball over five, six times like we did and still have a chance to win the game at the end, says a lot about the character of the team.

"Now what I told the guys after the game was if we can eliminate the mistakes, we're a pretty good football team and that's what our goal is."

    OL
Whiz need not worry about choosing a QB, needs to find a new OL coach or either one will get killed, not to mention Beanie and Ryan W.

    JUST DO YOUR JOB
I skipped reading the article, because plain and simple, I dont care who starts as QB. How many agree that games are won and lost in the trenches? The best coaches in the NFL tell their guys "just do your job". Grimm, and his O Line, ARENT doing their jobs. I am sure it has to do with the talent BUT I am also sure it has to do with them being under-coached. At the end of the day, it doesnt matter who you put behind center, if this O Line cannot protect him, no one - Kolb nor Skelton -, will be successful.

    Regarding the Offensive play calling
The 1st 2 offensive plays of the game were pass plays. The 3rd play, Skelton took a sack, and we had to punt. Really? Why? In case you havent noticed, we do not have Aaron Rodgers! We do not have the QB to pass 1st and run 2nd! C'mon man. The 2nd offensive drive - 2 run plays were called for Beanie. There were no holes opened by the O line for him to run through and he was tackled for no gain. Im a fan. I watch every game. When opposing cooridinators are preparing, they watch every game. Why is their offensive play calling so predictable?

    OL Coaching
Have to agree with the posts about the OL coaching, I've wondered for several years just exactly what Grimm is doing with those guys. Sure, there aren't any Pro Bowlers on the team but could there be with better coaching? I too have to wonder if the head coach's loyalties aren't getting in the way or if the organization just hasn't focused enough on drafting high round O-linemen the last 5 years.

Regarding the Offensive play calling 2
I was watching their 2nd drive. I looked to my friend and said "watch their gna run on 1st and 2nd down". After it was said and done he was like "dude! how did you know that". GAMES ARE WON AND LOST IN THE TRENCHES. Their protection scheme sucks! It all starts and ends up front. If they dont do their jobs on the O Line, it doesnt allow the QBs and RBs to do their jobs. Until Whiz acknowledges that and until he holds Grimm and the O Line accountable, this offense will not succeed.

    Kollb, Skelton, William Powell
I've got to say I am not a Kolb believer. He only plays well on quick hitting plays thus the 2 minute offense effectiveness. Notice how nicely the Cards marched down the field with Lindley when Powell was in the game? They had two touchdowns. Lindley was 13-24 for 112 yards and NO interceptions. I'm not advocating Lindley for QB. I'm just pointing out how a good running game makes a QB and a team so much better. I'm begging for the Cards to start the season with Skelton. He is a slow starter...so run the ball or setup easy short game passes until he gets acclimated to the game.

    OL
Guys, as much as I agree that Grimm hasn't done anything with the OL, remember we have to draft good lineman to be successful. We haven't done that in the early rounds in YEARS. I'll say it here: I wanted the Cards to draft David DeCastro. No, it's not a "sexy" pick (like Floyd) but it would've been a smart pick. Yet, he falls to the Steelers (hate to say it for obvious reasons, but they're the model of consistency). He'll be their Guard for 10 years, starting from day 1. We need better players, we can't keep adding them in FA.
