BREAKING NEWS: the Arizona Cardinals offensive line is bad.

OK, not so much breaking, and not really even news.

The group's struggles are well documented, and the loss of Levi Brown to injury has not helped things.

However, things have gotten so bad that other teams are almost feeling bad for Arizona's QBs. At least, opposing coaches are.

"I don't know the numbers, but those quarterbacks -- I thought all their quarterbacks were going to get hurt," the coach said after the game.

There's little doubt he's not the only one who thought that.

Cardinals quarterbacks were sacked four times on the night -- Kevin Kolb twice and John Skelton once -- and were hit numerous other times. They were under serious pressure nearly every time they dropped back to pass, which has been an ongoing problem this preseason.

The pass protection did seem to improve a bit when the team inserted D'Anthony Batiste in at left tackle and rookie Bobby Massie at right tackle, but that combination is certainly not going to inspire much confidence at this point.

Last week, Oakland Raiders defensive lineman Tommy Kelly accused Kevin Kolb of playing scared.

Would you blame him?

    Thank you
Finally, someone with a little bit of weight threw it around. This should get Whiz's attention. I think he's not caving into the fact that his offensive line is under-talented and under-coached because that would make his friend Russ Grimm look bad. And he doesnt want to fire his friend. Let's be honest here... When something isnt working, there needs to be change. Whether its a Car, a Job, a Girlfriend, etc (you get my point). AZ's O Line coach needs a change! Whiz is not going to fire Grimm. So why doesnt Michael Bidwell take it upon himself to do it?

    Elephant in room
Well, how come the media in this town doesn't bring up the 2000 pound Elephant in the room, Russ Grimm. Does he get a pass because he's Whiz's boy and is in the HOF? Keep moving, nothing to see here folks.

    What makes me crazy
Is Whiz or Miller not using his TE's to chip block for the tackles. In what universe does a NFL coach not know that your TE's can be used to hide a deficient OT by helping him with his tackle assignment. I mean Whiz WAS A TE in the NFL. Just hang your QB's out to dry coach. No worries...

    Oline..
..I've tried to defend these guys, but there is no sugar coating what happened last night. It was ugly! On top of that what really annoyed me more was the dropped pass by Floyd (our first round pick)!! He represents our first round pick and was played out by Kendall Wright in the game.

    No chips
They didn't use TEs to do much chipping during the game. This was likely intentional. They need to have a clue what they have, and using a TE to chip every play would not give them a realistic idea.

    O Line
The Cardinals haven't put any focus on the offensive line in the draft for years. Why? Aren't they also like $9M under the salary cap? Why? Pay out some money to get some good O lineman in here. Owners need to step up!

    o line
I am surprised they havent moved synder out to tackle and put bridges at guard? cant hurtat this point. Need to fix Oline first, then QB. Not even rodgers would succeed behind this line.

    Solution...
I think pros/cons of Skelton/Kolb cancel each other out, however, I personally feel Skelton is the way to go because of his size, heart, arm, pocket presence and age. What I did love last night was the no huddle. That allowed the o-line and qb to shed some of their godawfulness and move the ball. If we can get help from the TE on blocking, run that no huddle, and cycle in RDub, Beanie and Powell, we'll have a decent shot at being a decent team. If the D holds firm all season, then we can run the no huddle, run first offense efficiently enough to get a wildcard spot.

Rodgers ran for 2 TDs when he got pressured last night. Kolb and Skelton don't have 4.7 40 speed.
