The Arizona Cardinals have sold out their preseason game against the Denver Broncos, the team announced Monday.

The game, which will be televised locally on KNXV-TV, is the 65th-consecutive sellout for the team since moving into University of Phoenix Stadium in August of 2006.

Kickoff for the team's final preseason game of the season is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

    Sold Out?
Don't imply with the title of the article that the game is sold out because of the immense interest in Cardinals! Do you think the game was sold out because the Cardinals are a beloved franchise with top of the line players with a superb coaching staff and ownership(LOL) that will lead them to many victories this year? Or! Football Fans hope for a chance to see Peyton. Probably the latter

The games are sold out because of the fans.... Peyton isn't even playing Thursday which was already announced. The Cardinals must have a pretty good fan base when they can sell out 65 consecutive games even though the team it self hasn't been that good. As a fan myself, I just keep hoping that things will change and will always be a Cardinals fan no-matter what.

The key word in my post was hope to see not will see Peyton. Compared to most teams AZ is unusual because so many transplants go to the games not to see the Great and powerful Cardinals who make it to the playoffs on an average of once every 20 years but to root for their opponent. It doesn't surprise me that they sell out every game because there is a multitude of football fans in PHX but let us not kid ourselves it is not because of an overwhelming fan base even though you'd like to believe so. What is the ownership doing with all that sell out money?

I'm not really sure what your point is here. The title of the article doesn't AT ALL imply that the game is sold out because of interest in the Cards. It's just stating the fact that the game is sold out. But then you go on to say that there is a multitude of fans but not an overwhelming fan base. You seem to be reaching to try and make a point but it's not working. Are you drunk right now?
