Behind Enemy Lines: Green Bay Packers
A Week 9 matchup with the Green Bay Packers looms, and while Aaron Rodgers' crew is not exactly lighting up the NFL like it did last season, the Pack have won three straight to sit at 5-3.
These teams seem to be heading in opposite directions, and the Cardinals will certainly have their hands full in this one.

Packers WR Greg Jennings tweeted a picture of himself following his surgery Thursday in his hospital bed, hooked up to an IV, wearing a surgical cap and making a hideous face.
"Any time you're on a long journey, you have that one pit stop in the middle of the trip, when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, you take your eye off the ball. You've got to keep your eye on the ball and make sure you take care of business."
The Packers' halfbacks will face as difficult a passing-game assignment this week as they'll see all season trying to pick up the blitzes by Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Daryl Washington.
For the month, Rodgers led the NFL in touchdown passes and was second in passer rating. He ranked second in the NFC in passing yards and completion percentage
"I'd like to play Green Bay again, see what happens," Phillips said, according to Houston Chronicle reporter Tania Ganguli.
In games in which the receivers haven't gotten open, Finley and fellow tight ends D.J. Williams and Tom Crabtree still haven't seen a shift in emphasis their way. There isn't a game you can point to in which coach Mike McCarthy aimed to beat someone with his tight ends.
Somewhat lost in the Green Bay Packers third straight win last Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, was an impressive milestone accomplished by quarterback Aaron Rodgers
"You don't want teams just to commit to the passing game. You've got to get respect in the running game," tight end Jermichael Finley said Thursday. "Right now, we're doing an OK job, under average. So we've got to pick it up."

"You can tell all the opponents we will not be running that play again," Green Bay Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy said on Monday when asked about the fake-kick/punt play that resulted in an incomplete pass by Masthay, the Packers' punter.
"The quality of them has not been anywhere where we'd like them," Rodgers said. "We've got to run the ball better. If we can do that, then we are going to have the opportunity to make some of those play-action gains, make some of those gains with big plays over the top."
Finley was limited in practice due to his shoulder injury. This is getting rough for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, because it becomes yet another one of his targets to get banged up this season.
Receiver James Jones has become a bigger part of the Packers' offense and has had fewer drops this season.
"Right now I'm day-to-day, but Sunday is our target," Nelson said. "Hamstrings are an interesting thing, though. Sometimes they can be hard to predict. This is my first time ever dealing with a hamstring injury, so I just have to listen to the trainers because they deal with this type of thing all the time."
Everyone knows the Packers need to run the ball better, they just can't agree on a solution. Here's mine: Other than putting in more work on the running game in practice, McCarthy should keep doing exactly what he's been doing.
"It felt good out to run out and practice again instead of just standing there," Zombo said. "I felt, in a way, that I was earning my paycheck again. It felt good in the sense of being part of the team again. It was definitely nice."
"The players have a clear understanding of the importance of this game," said McCarthy. "I think we've made the mistake of maybe looking forward to the bye week in the past. We're not going to make that mistake this week."

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson missed practice again Wednesday. Nelson was held out of the Packers' 24-15 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a hamstring issue that still remains a problem.
"I've had two concussions," Rodgers said. "I know what that feels like. I know the moments after. I know I'm not going to put myself in harm's way by staying in a game when I'm not healthy mentally, when my brain is not healthy..."
Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby has only converted on 9-of-13 field goals thus far in the season, placing him in last place in the league with a success rate of 69.2%. In Week 5, he missed two field goals in a three-point loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
"I knew how to pass protect when I got here, but I also had to get a lot better," said third-year running back James Starks. "I'm still learning. It's emphasized every day."
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings was originally scheduled to fly to Philadelphia on Monday afternoon for surgery on his abdominal tear. But his surgery will be delayed due to Hurricane Sandy.

Mike McCarthy didn't like the energy of his Green Bay Packers at times on Sunday, and he apparently didn't like it at all on Monday.
Alex Green remains the starting running back for the Green Bay Packers but coach Mike McCarthy said James Starks will get more reps during practice this week.
The Green Bay Packers played without eight starters last weekend, and coach Mike McCarthy added two more players to the injury list on Monday.
