According to Fox Sports reporter Aaron Wilson, the Arizona Cardinals have tried out free agent defensive tackle Marcus Harrison.

Harrison, 28, was originally drafted in 2008 by the Chicago Bears in the third round out of Arkansas. During his three seasons in Chicago, Harrison totaled 55 tackles and three sacks.

After being released by the Bears in September 2011, the 6-foot-3, 316 pound lineman was signed by the New England Patriots on October 14, 2011 before being released the very next day.

I geuss David Carter is not the quality player
that THIS organization made him out to be. If Calais is injured and cannot play on Sunday it would seam to be a 'no-brainer' that Carter step into that starting position. Apparently, though he (Carter) is not as advertised. Wondered about this earlier in the season when Dockett was hurt with a hamstring injury and Carter did not start for nine-O either. Don't expect an article on this since that would entail actual journalists doing their jobs.

I dont even know who Carter is...
I really havent seen any defensive linemen distrupt any plays other than CC. And thats a knock on them because DD is very well compensated for his services that he is NOT rendering. Dan Williams hasnt really made his presence felt in the middle. Ive seen Vonnie Holiday make more plays than them two combined. This defensive line has been disappointing. They've made some gaps for the LBs but nothing special. All the RBs we've faced have been able to make it past them to the next level AND the pass rush isnt enough to help out the secondary. The first 4 weeks they were awesome. Now, they arent...

if david carter is forced to play, then logically, wouldnt the cardinals need someone to take his spot as a backup?

    Depth is needed...
..they were already thin on the D line rotation. With CC out...they still have to add someone. Please try to keep up.

Cardinals having (officially) the leagues worst ranked offensive line, and our tackles on right and left side ranked dead last, what do we do? Fire Grim? No.Bring in a true oline coach, Juan Castillo? No. Maybe trade for McKinney? No. How about bring in FA Olineman? No. We get better by bringing in a 3rd round bust; a Patriot cast off DEFENSIVE linemen. So bad, that this takes priority over fixing what's been broken since '07? Love what you did for us in past, Whiz-but your time is over. Congrates Horton, you're going to be our new HC. I hope we can get Reid is OC once Philip fires him.

I like the idea of Horton as HC and Andy Reid as OC once he's fired. Deshea Townsend will move into DC and Andy Reid will bring in his own offensive coaching staff and pick up right where he left off with Kolb, west coast offense and winning games...
