Arizona Sports predicts Cardinals at Seahawks
Nonetheless, the Arizona Cardinals will travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks at Century Link Field Sunday.
The Seahawks will try to avenge a season-opening loss to the Cardinals in Week 1 while the Cardinals are simply trying to claw their way back into the win column.
Hmm…Cards on the road in a tough place to play against a superior opponent. This won't go well. Arizona will get a defensive touchdown in this game…but that'll be it.
Final Score: Seahawks 27, Cardinals 7
Arizona has been on the verge of imploding for a few weeks and this may be the game where it all boils over. Russell Wilson hasn't thrown an interception in four games and Seattle doesn't lose at home. Skelton is real rusty, not having played much this season. Plus, Seattle will be playing for the division title, so there are a lot of reasons to bring their A-game. Cards just playing for pride and there is not a lot of that left.
Final Score: Seahawks 30, Cardinals 13
Visiting teams don't normally have success in Seattle, and this year's Cardinals will not be the exception. Sure, Skelton is back at quarterback, but he was replaced for a reason. Arizona's defense will be stout once again, but the Cardinals won't have enough offense to make it matter.
Final Score: Seahawks 23, Cardinals 10
Skelton (Not Kolb) is starting…Cardinals will be losing.
Final Score: Seahawks 31, Cardinals 17
When trying to figure out where the wins are going to come from between now and the end of the season, this might be the longest of the long shots. Teams with good to excellent quarterbacks have lost in the building that features the best homefield advantage in the NFL. The Cards have neither, therefore....
Final Score: Seahawks 17, Cardinals 9
The Cardinals quarterback situation has turned into one of those old Mad Libs games, because regardless of what you insert in the box, the result will probably turn out to be something ridiculous. Whether it's John Skelton or Ryan Lindley the rest of the way, it won't really matter. Skelton might represent Ken Whisenhunt's best chance to save his job, but all he is is the lesser of two evils. Skelton played well in the first half of the Cardinals' Week 1 win over Seattle, but the same will not be true Sunday. Even without play-making CB Brandon Browner lurking in the secondary, the Seahawks front seven will handle their business, so don't expect Skelton to put up big numbers. Russell Wilson will do his best to show Arizona what a good mid-level draft pick can do at QB, and the Seahawks will win going away.
Final Score: Seahawks 28, Cardinals 13
If the Cardinals couldn't post any points on the Jets, do you really think they will be able to do anything against the Seahawks? Sure, they beat Seattle when they had everyone healthy, but with an unknown quarterback and injuries, the Cards' losing streak will continue.
Final Score: Seahawks 20, Cardinals 6
I've given up on picking Arizona... The Cardinals are going to lose and the only question is by how much. The Seahawks defense is pretty good, and their offense has been coming together of late. I'll say the Cards keep it close, but still fail to put a notch in the win column.
Final Score: Seahawks 24, Cardinals 13
Not only is Seattle unbeaten at home but their pass rush will destroy John Skelton, forcing him to make mistakes which will cost the Cards the game.
Final Score: Seahawks 28, Cardinals 13
The Cardinals will see firsthand this week how well drafting and developing a quarterback in the NFL can work for a franchise. Look for a steady dose of Russell Wilson on the play-action roll out with plenty of Marshawn Lynch mixed in for Seattle. John Skelton and the offense will struggle to do much of anything against a Seattle Seahawks team with a tough defense and a home field advantage that ranks among the best in the NFL. The defense will fight like they have all season but there is just too little offensively for the Cardinals to have any chance of beating Seattle at home.
