Vince Young last played for the Buffalo Bills in August. After the Cardinals' 58-0 loss Sunday, the former No. 3 overall pick tweeted that maybe he could help Larry Fitzgerald out (AP File Photo).
The Arizona Cardinals have now dropped nine straight games for the first time since 1944.

Sunday, they lost by a franchise-high 58 points to the Seattle Seahawks.

So how bad has it gotten for the Redbirds in 2012?

Even Vince Young -- who has been out of the league since August after being cut by the Bills -- feels bad for the Cardinals.

His solution for Larry Fitzgerald and Co. after their historic loss: let him get in the ear of Ken Whisenhunt.

The Cardinals' quarterback carousel has been well-documented throughout the season, and may have reached a low point Sunday, as John Skelton threw a career-high four interceptions and lost one fumble.

Rookie Ryan Lindley wasn't much better, as he lost one fumble and completed just 8-of-17 passes.

This isn't the first time Young has been connected with the Cardinals in some shape or form this season.

Following Kevin Kolb's injury back in Week 6, it was reported the team was interested in bringing Young in for a mid-week tryout. However, Young has yet to be given a tryout by any NFL team since training camp ended.

For his career, Young has thrown for 8,964 yards and 46 touchdowns, while also running for 1,459 yards and 12 touchdowns.

In 2011, the former No. 3 overall pick threw for 866 yards, four touchdowns and nine interceptions in six games as a backup to Michael Vick in Philadelphia.

Vince Young is garbage too, I dont care if anyone thinks otherwise. Why do you think hes not on a team? As backup or 3rd string? If anything, Id rather bring in Bartel

    How about
Young, McNabb, Warner, Simms, Aikman, Namath... The line sucks. The scheme sucks. No Qb can be successful here right now.

    He would be an improvement
I wouldn't bring him in as a starter next year, but Whiz should of brought him in when Kolb went down. He would of had a couple weeks to get comfortable and if Skelton was ineffective like he was then Young could of got a shot. He is way more accurate than Skelton or Lindley and he can run. There are probably a lot of QBs looking for a team that were surprised the Cards stuck with Skelton and Lindley.

    bring him in
whats the worst that could happen? he throws a few ints and we lose the last games? like that isnt going to happen anyway? May as well bring in him and bartel today and let them duke it out for the starting spot.

    I agree now
He'll bring a veteran/leadership presence to the huddle. Kolb offered that too but went down to injury. The players respected and started playing for Kolb. Who knows what would have happened if he remained starter. Anyway, I think Vince Young is the QB you want as a back-up, period. He's a former Pro-Bowler and has been to the play-offs. If he only had a QB IQ of Peyton Manning, he would have won a SB. He has the arm. He has good enough accuracy where to he could build on it and get better. He can run! He just has to be more careful with the ball.

    Keep losing
We shouldn't want any help at this point. The season is over and the worse thing that could happen right now is AZ pulling off a couple of mirical victories and spoiling our position in the draft. Stick with Skelton/Lindley till the end of the season and then clean house.

you can say that now, and that is honestly the smartest thing we could do. but every loss will cause the fan base to lose their marbles. look at what is happening now. the majority of the fan base simply isnt football savy enough to recognize that the best longterm thing would be for us to lose these last few games and get the highest draft pick possible.
