The Arizona Cardinals were destroyed 58-0 by the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, marking the worst loss in the history of the franchise. It was Arizona's ninth straight loss.

Speculation is running wild on a couple of fronts. First, whether or not the Cardinals quit on head coach Ken Whisenhunt, who's coaching seat got noticeably hotter following the loss.

"I can't comment on that, I have no comment," defensive tackle Darnell Dockett said Monday when asked about whether the confidence in Whisenhunt has faded in recent weeks .

Dockett was fined a hefty amount by the Cardinals organization last week for his part in an on-field disagreement with teammate Kerry Rhodes over a directive from the coaching staff to let the New York Jets score in the latter stages of the game. Dockett disagreed with the instructions, but it was for naught because Jets running back Shonn Greene fell down on his own short of the goal line, killing the clock in an ugly 7-6 win.

Dockett also started the game on the bench as a result, and played in only 55% of the snaps on defense.

Following the discipline, Dockett was asked if he's still happy wearing Cardinal red.

"I don't know, I don't know," he responded. "I'm a hell of a competitor, I love what I do, I take what I do serious and I hold a lot of guys accountable and whatever situation comes my way, I'll be prepared for it."

There were many who witnessed the game Sunday that believe the Arizona Cardinals quit as a football team. That group includes Larry Fitzgerald's father, who made the proclamation on Twitter at halftime of the blowout loss.

"That's his opinion, I can't speak for no one else, I only can speak for Darnell Dockett," he said. "I can only say I didn't quit, and that's the best way I can put it."

    Love Dockett...
...but if he is not happy...it is time to part ways! He is in the wrong about what happened in NY. They needed the ball back to have a chance. Letting them score was the only choice. He's good and still has trade value...he's not getting any younger. If 90 would be happier somewhere else, and can't lead the team in tough times and the Cards get value back...then so be it!

Dockett and AW have been the heart and soul of this defense for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, there comes a time when everyone has to move on. Dockett clearly doesnt seem happy here. He doesnt fit Horton's scheme well, but I think he tolerated it while we were winning. Now everything is compounding

    I am disapointed in Dockett
Football's a team sport, it should not be about individuals. refusing to let NY score shows where his mindset is. He is one of the respected leaders, sowing discontent on the team by his no comment is so disappointing coming from someone that I respected so much. It is time for Dockett to continue his career elsewhere. A 3/4 defensive scheme would suit his skills better. Problems; 1: QB 2: Injuries 3: OL depth. 4 and 0 until the only mediocre QB on the team was injured.

    I Quit !!
Yeah.....I think we should all quit on them. Don't watch, Don't show up for their lousy games. These guys laugh behind the scenes every game because win or loose ( Mostly loose ) They get their big fat payday. I really like sports but I'm not wasting any more time on Arizona sport teams. Cards, Suns, D-Backs Etc Etc Didn't watch the Cards game on Sunday or the Suns game didn't watch the D-Backs last year and they all did what I thought they would.....They Quit!! Diddo for me too.

    I agree with trading DD
because he has value. And honestly, Horton's scheme is good enough that he could throw someone else in there and they'll do well. Docket is good but he isnt great. The best defense is a better offense. Think about that when you start thinking about potential trades.

    There comes a time
Im sure for a good player who is on a very bad team that is in the prime of their career and getting the "over the hill" part of their careers where they want to win. And in those cases the player and the team are not on the same page with eachother. In those cases a trade is inevitable.

    Keep everybody happy
And improve the offense to a playoff caliber offense. That will make everyone happy, from top to bottom.

    Do whatever you can
    - to salvage the relationship with Dockett. FIRE WHIZ NOW. Dockett could have been fined 25k and told not to do it again or face 6 figures. Dockett has given everything and made and emotional decision - and the situation could have been handled without doing him like this. Benching ADub and fining Dockett so heavily is petty. You still have a job because of them. Resign with dignity Whiz.

    Dockett
So the D spends all game (all season really) shutting down the jets - then at the end of the game the coach says embarrass yourselves and take it in the shorts just to give the impotent offense one last chance to fail. I would have been IRATE as well. Dockett should have followed the plan - you have to try to win the game. But the fine and treatment of a leader who made an emotional decision out of frustration is ridiculous. Keep Dockett, beg Horton to coach this team and FIRE WHIZ NOW.
