The Arizona Cardinals are set to interview Andy Reid Wednesday amid reports the team was nearing a deal with the former Philadelphia Eagles head coach.

CBS NFL insider Jason La Canfora tweeted news of the scheduled meeting.

Cardinals' VP of media relations Mark Dalton tweeted earlier Tuesday that the team interviewed defensive coordinator Ray Horton.

Although Reid is believed to be the heavy favorite to land the position, the Cardinals will also interview Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.

    Nothing says that they can't hire Reid or Horton before scheduled meeting with McCoy.

    - If Reid signs with KC. He lives in Cali. The Cards have nice pieces and a great D, especially if Horton agrees to stay. KC is probably even in a worse position than AZ and still shaking off a tragedy. I wouldnt be shocked if SD or Chicago scooped him up, but I would be if KC did.
