Okay, what's going on?

Wednesday morning, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported that the Arizona Cardinals had requested to interview Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley for their head coaching job, but Haley was happy with his job, and didn't want to go anywhere else.

Hours later, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette tweeted this:

Rapoport also tweeted a quote from Haley's agent, Jerome Stanley.

And then had a short commentary on Bouchette's report.

So, which is it? There has been no comment from any Cardinals personnel.

Arizona has been seeking a head coach since December 31, when they fired Ken Whisenhunt following a 5-11 season.

Haley served as the Cardinals offensive coordinator from 2007 to 2008.

Defensive coordinator Ray Horton has interviewed for the job, as has Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy. Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden is scheduled to be interviewed later this week.

    Who cares? Just give Horton a chance! the man has put in his time working his way up. Is that not what the U.S.A. is suppose to be all about?

    Horton has a history with Norv Turner, so it's speculated he'd be on board being Arizona's OC. I think the defense is two players away from being a dominant 3-4 - OLB and SS. Horton can hand pick his successor. With his defense and Turners offense, that'd be a turnaround in a hurry

    Its typical this offseason. You have these guys trying to be first to report anything. From Reid to Cardinals, to Kelly to Cleveland.. I think its funny for Ian Rapoport though, he is one of the few i have seen that keeps responding and continually commenting on the situation and trying to prove his point.

    I think Haley is what the Cardinals need on offense. He's a hard nose coach that gets things done. All this hush hush makes you wonder whats going on with him. If Todd Haley IS HERE interviewing ...... He will be the Cardinals next Head Coach

    The dude is a cancer. He's an a-hole. Don't you guys remember him always yelling and screaming at the offensive players? We don't need that here again. I'm with everyone else who wants the Horton/Turner combo. C'mon Cards and Keim. Get it done already!

    Another site pointed out that Tomlin actually wanted the Steelers RB coach as the OC last year, but an accident prevented him from taking the job and Haley was the 2nd choice. Maybe Haley is afraid obviously looking for a HC job will give Tomlin an excuse to fire him and promote the RB coach this time around.

    I'm with Tom and Shaun on this - Haley seems to be far too abrasive and gets too many of his players po'd. Sometimes getting a player po'd makes him play better but Haley just seems to wear thin with his players too quickly. Let him stay in Pitt.

    Steelers RB Coach Kirby (who was burned in house fire last year) would become the Cardinals next Offensive Coordinator if not Norv Turner which at this point seems unlikely I'd go with another Dick LaBeu disciple as Defensive Coordinator even it that means Dshea Townsend he dosent have much experience but he would then become Horton 2.0 keep the same exact System on D. Offensively like Keim said need Phyicality and ground and pound game too open up the field. Haley is pass 1st on top of plenty other reasons why I dont like him as our next HC

    Card should just remove themselves from this situation. Haley is a solid candidate but so are Horton and McCoy.If Haley is flip-flopping or doesn't really want to leave Pittsburgh, don't waste any more time trying to court him.
