New Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has begun to assemble his staff.

According to profootballtalk.com, Arians has hired Indianapolis Colts offensive line coach Harold Goodwin to be his offensive coordinator with the Cardinals.

Goodwin has worked under Arians with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Colts.

Goodwin has a tall task ahead with a Cardinals offense that scored just 15.6 points per game last season, which was second-worst in the NFL.

    Got It!
Dude was not a good line coach so promote him. I think that makes as much sense as hiring the head coach. I thought this new GM was suppose to be a smart guy?

Really?, we get a 60 year old coach that was ready to retire never been good enough to be a head coach in his numerous years in the NFL...next an O line coach for a OC? Bidwells went shopping at Goodwill and paid Nordstrom prices...lets get rid of the problem Bidwells lap dog Steve Kiem....

    On the flip side
Arians is hiring 2-3 OL coaches and the OC is an OL specialist. Given all the complaints by AZ fans about the OL being a major issue, perhaps we should be welcoming this focus on it.

    Points Per Game
Of the 16 points per game scored by the Cardinals, unfortunately half of those were either scored or set up by the Defense. This offense rarely if ever drove 80 yards down the field for a score. Goodwin has got some work to do.

    Fans are funny
This team has been bad for a long time, fans demanded changes. They finally make changes and your not happy. We fans can never be happy lol Same thing happened about Horton, came to the Cards as an unknown and fans grumbling about him. Now they are upset he left.

    Just because fans are 'funny'
..doesn't mean they should bye into changes that don't make a lot of sense on the surface. The fact that Arians hit 60 before someone gave him a HC job makes you wonder why he didn't get one sooner...if he is such a great hire. The background of his assistant coaches and the way Horton and others were handled raises question marks. Hopefully, there are things that we fans don't know about that makes this a smart move. Time will tell...

agree with you all the way. everyone wants an omelet but doesn't want to break any eggs in the process. JW L, you do need to buy into what the Cards are doing if you're a fan because nothing will change that. you need to trust in keim and arians and give them a shot. get off the horton deal. they interviewed him twice, didn't think he was a good fit and moved on. everyone else needs to do the same.
