The Arizona Cardinals could use some help at cornerback, and they may find it in a former University of Arizona Wildcat.

Cason, 26, was a first round pick of the San Diego Chargers in 2008 after a stellar career in Tucson that culminated with him being awarded the Jim Thorpe Award as a senior, which is given to the best defensive back in the country and a consensus First-Team All-American. A 6-foot-1, 195-pound corner, he has size to go along with good speed.

Cason is coming off a season in which he collected 73 total tackles and two interceptions. For his career he's tallied 308 tackles and 12 picks, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

Not a great, but solid CB. I'd be okay with it as long as they get him at the right price.

Think he would be a great complement alongside Peterson. Huge improvement over Gay and even Toler. Could possibly get him for a discount as well seeing as the CB market is one of the more stacked out there.

not a tier one CB but definitly a tier 2 CB and would be an UPGRADE over the departed Greg Toler

Yes yes yes... Not only do I like this because he is a good DB but I am bias toward BearDown University and my best friend is a Charger fan so I would love to take him from SD. This would be a personal win for me

I like this if we can bring him in, plus he is young!

    Cason or another solid cornerback
is a real need with Toler gone. I was always iffy on Jamal Fleming the 3rd rounder from last year, and the cupboard is very bare the other side of Patrick Peterson.

This would be a great signing. Plenty of mileage left, talent, from U of A ( maybe a selling point), I could see a three year deal worth a couple million a year.
