Just because the Arizona Cardinals signed quarterback Drew Stanton does not mean they are done trying to bolster the position, and another option may have just become available.

Veteran Matt Hasselbeck, who was released by the Tennessee Titans Monday, and according to an ESPN NFL insider, is garnering interest from many different teams -- including the one in Arizona.

Hasselbeck, 37, has also played for the Green Bay Packers, but the bulk of his success was with the Seattle Seahawks, with whom he spent 10 seasons with.

For his career, Hasselbeck has completed 60.4 percent of his passes for 34,517 yards and 201 touchdowns, along with 147 interceptions.

He spent the last two seasons with the Titans, rotating between starting and backing up young QB Jake Locker.

He completed 61.8 percent of his passes for 4,938 yards and 25 touchdowns with the team. He was picked off 19 times and guided the Titans to an 11-10 record in his 21 starts.

...but lot's of interest usually means lot's of money. I guess this could be another chance to see how the new regime handles this type of situation. How much do they like him, and how aggressive will they be in pursuing him if they do like him alot.

    Bad, bad idea.....
As Thomas77 wrote, it means a LOT of $$$! I also cringe at the 19 INTs to go with the 26 TDs! I've always been a big fan or Hasselbeck's, but he's not the answer in my opinion!

With Supa-main, he'd be a good QB coach. His best playing years are behind him.

Couldn't have said it better - they don't currently have a ton of talent at QB or anyone close to being considered the "franchise guy" (who knows how Stanton will turn out) so just stick with them and plan to draft "that guy" in the future. Hasselbeck signed with Indy anyway (as @CardsFan pointed out last night).

    No HasselBROKE Here
Hasselbeck is another washed up QB who has had concussion problems. We do not need another Kevin Kolb, i.e. a QB who cannot stay on the field. Hoyer may beat out Stanton for the starting job, and Skelton will be released and the Cards will develop Lindley. A lot of those sacks were on the QB's last year; the Oline did much better the last 3rd of the season, once Potter started.
