Monday afternoon, Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said linebacker John Abraham was planning on rejoining the team.
The only thing keeping the veteran from the Cardinals was the league’s concussion protocol, which Abraham would need to pass in order to get back on the field.
Arians was a guest on SiriusXMNFL’s “Late Hits” Tuesday evening, and he said Abraham was tested earlier in the day.

Abraham suffered the concussion in the third quarter of the team’s Week 1 win over the San Diego Chargers. Having experienced memory loss and other symptoms, he left the team and considered retirement.
However, after some though he decided to return to the team and resume his career. The 36-year-old tallied 11.5 sacks last season, his first with the Cardinals, and has 133.5 in his career.
