In his first year of eligibility, former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner failed to make the final cut and won’t be a part of the eight-man 2015 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class, the NFL announced Saturday.

Warner played 12 NFL seasons, including five for the Cardinals. He guided Arizona to back-to-back playoff berths, including its first and only Super Bowl appearance in the 2008 season. He was inducted into the Cardinals’ ring of honor Sept. 8.

Warner led the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl XXXIV victory in 2000.

Junior Seau, Jerome Bettis, Charles Haley, Tim Brown, Will Shields, Mick Tingelhoff, Ron Wolf and Bill Polian will comprise this year’s Hall of Fame class.
